Through you article the Lord spoke to me about what I was doing to my wife of 21 years. <br /><br />exerpt.... "For many years, I felt that my husband Richard was trying to control how I looked, what I did, where we went, and with whom."<br /><br />I'm that type of husband. I can honestly say that my intentions have never been to control my wife, but in reality, in order to get what I wanted I was doing just that. <br /><br />My wife isn't a perfectionist by any means, but I think I was trying to mold her into what I wanted her to be or do for my on selfish desires. <br /><br />We are in the middle of maritial problems for which I am trying to correct, but her heart is hardened and she is in the middle of an emotional affair which she admits is wrong, but won't give up. I take responsibility that I am the reason for the affair. <br /><br />We are both born again believers and are still together, but I realize there isn't much I can do to change her heart.
